Hey, I'm Ashton, the face behind Sweet Cosmos.

I'm a mum to two , based in Inverurie, I photograph families across Aberdeen and the wider Aberdeenshire area. I started this business in the middle of newborn naps, school runs and the quiet realisation that time moves far too quickly.

Motherhood changed how I see everything.

Especially photographs.

The tiny fingers that don't stay tiny.

The way your little one reaches for you without thinking.

The look your eldest gives their new baby sibling.

Those are the moments I care about capturing.

My approach is relaxed and natural - no stiff posing, no pressure for perfect behaviour. Children are allowed to move, explore and be exactly who they are. Your job is simply to show up and be together.

Before becoming a photographer, I spent almost 12 years working with children and families.

That experience taught me something I carry into every session today: children don't need to perform to create beautiful photographs. They simply need to feel safe, relaxed and free to be themselves.
